Chords in this collection
C, A, G, E, D, Em, AmEasily playable
One and the same guitar chord can be played the hard way or an easy way suitable for a beginner player. Notes that make up these chords have been carefully chosen so that if you've never picked up a guitar before you could play them all and make music from day one. With the exception of the C chord, all chords span no more than 2 frets which is extremely beginner-friendly when you're starting out with a guitar. So your C chord is likely the hardest of the simplest in this collection.Sets of chords
Even though you can mix and match these chords however you like (really, if it sounds good to you then it's good enough), it will be beneficial if you know that they are compiled from 3 different scales (think "families"). You can also think of them simply as sets of chords that sound good together. The 3 sets are:- G/Am/C/D/Em (let's call this set G-major)
- D/Em/G/A (this is D-major)
- A/D/E (and this is A-major)
